Refurbishment

The major refurbishment works consist of two key categories:

1. Civil Works
2. Mechanical and Electrical works

1. Civil Works

The works involve cleaning of the compound, grass cutting dan trees, fencing dan railing, painting, construction of drains and road.

Requirements:

Contractor must be registered with Procurement Dept IWK's Head Office, Contractors Services Centre (PKK) with Head 1 and CIDB in the Civil Engineering or Registration Category for Building (B) or Finance Grade 1 or higher.

Estimated Value of Contract:

Contract will be awarded based on contractor's capability and IWK's project plan. The works are usually awarded in the value of RM20,000 to RM1000,000 for each contract. The value is decided by IWK Head Office and consistent throughout the country.

Selection of Contractor:

Selection is conducted by open tender or to registered contractor with IWK.

2. M&E Works

Repair pumps, aerators, mechanical equipment, electrical control panel, wiring, force main, crane and other mechanical and electrical equipment.

Requirements:

Contractor must be registered with Procurement Dept IWK's Head Office, Contractors Services Centre (PKK) with Head lll or Head Vll and CIDB in the Mechanical Division (M) and Electrical (E) and Finance Grade 1 or higher.

Estimated Value of Contract:

Tenders will be conducted every week. Contract value depends on the required scope of work and number of plants in each package. Gross tender value is between RM500,000 to RM1.5 million. This is the main category in the entrepreneur development program.

Selection of Contractor:

Selection of contractor is based on the offered tender. Tender which fulfills the technical requirement and most competitive price will be selected. The normal tender is open.
